Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Barrie

Hello all,

I just wanted to let you all know that this will be my last entry. I have decided to end my blog entries with an accommodations branch by the name of Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton.

I have chosen this business strictly because the name Hilton has quite a reputation of having a high standard of quality for their accommodation facilities. Hilton is a very well known name in the accommodations sector in the travel industry and I also am unfamiliar with the Barrie sector of Ontario, so with that being said, I know that Hilton Hotels & Suites would most certainly suffice for being a premium quality accommodation for this area.

When I think of Hilton Hotels, in that very instant I think of this type of property being well suited for the business-oriented and wealthy clientel, but after further research I have also come to find out that many, if not all of the Hilton properties also accommodate well to all families, whether they are very wealthy, upper middle class, middle class and any other classification of family types.

Rooms & Rates: An individual wishing to stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Barrie can get a room that includes a king sized bed w/sofa bed for $135 CAD/night up to $155 CAD/night for a studio suite that includes a king sized bed w/sofa bed.

If you every find yourself to be in Barrie you can find Hampton Inn & Suites Barrie at 74 Bryne Drive, Barrie Ontario. I would highly recommend that you stay here!

Staybridge Suites Guelph

Hello all,

To prevent you all from getting too bored with my blog entries I have decided that instead of sticking to one city/town in Southern Ontario, I have decided to cycle through different ones, even if I have not been there yet personally. I was never able to do a lot of travelling myself, so I see this as a way of travelling, through the internet, hence I am also learning more about Ontario than I currently do now.

In this blog I have decided to rant about Staybridge Suites Guelph. I am currently a student in a program called Tourism and Travel, so I already know a bit about Staybridge Suites.

I have never stayed at Staybridge Suites Gulph personally, nor have I ever needed to, but quite honestly, from the pictures that I have seen, Staybridge Suites Guelph appears to be quite an outstanding looking piece of accommodation property that I now wish to stay at sometime in the not so distant future. This Staybridge Suites property has an estate or manor-esque feel to it. It looks to be a very structurally sound building and has richly detailed rooms for such an affordable price.

I have noticed that this Staybridge Suites property appears to be conveniently furnished and its rooms are arranged strategically for the business-oriented client, this way the clients have all the convenience of being home, while also having the convenience of being away from home and hopefully at a mid-point from their place of business.

For some of the prices that I have seen, Staybridge Suites room prices vary anywhere between $115 CAD/night for their standard suite up to $210 CAD/night for their two bedroom suite.

Below I have researched and listed their known/included amenities.

Caesars Windsor

Hello all,

This time around I have decided to stray away from the major hotel chains and blog about a very beautiful accommodation facility that I am not overly certain about.

Seeing as this property is not affiliated with any of the larger hotel chains (that I am aware of) I thought that doing some research on this property would be interesting.

I will be blogging about a hotel named Caesars Windsor.

Just by looking at pictures that have been taken for advertising and promotional purposes, it is very easy to see that Caesars is an elaborately and youthfully decorated. This hotel appears to be trying to reach out to a younger audience, an older person at the peak of their mid-life crisis, or just simply put, someone who just wants to be pampered.

Caesars Windsor is located at 377 River Side Drive East, Windsor Ontario, and its many included amenities/services are listed below:

Amenities/services offered: Business center, room service, high-speed internet, fitness room/gym, on-site restaurant, parking, swimming pool, persons with disabilities access, concierge, valet parking, massage/beauty center, elevator/lift, dry cleaning, air conditioned, non-smoking rooms, covention center, golf course, housekeeping, banquet facilities, conference room(s), currency exchange, sauna, ATM/cash machine, mini bar, refridgerator, cable/satellite TV, in-room movies, bath/hot tub, wake-up service, meeting rooms,coffee/tea maker, hair dryer, TV, CD player, laundry service, casino, nightclubs, desk, ballroom, wheelchair access, Wi-Fi, express check-in/out.

I highly recommend that anyone interested in an elaborate accommodation or wanting to experience the "night life" without having to worry about sobber driving plans or any transportation plans at all, stay here.

An individual wishing to stay here can expect to pay a minimum of $129 CAD/night for a room that includes a deluxe king bed.

With that being said, this property/accommodation facility is a gorgeous one.

Hope you all enjoy this!

Cheers!

Travelodge Oshawa Whitby

Hello all,

I am back again and this time I have decided to write a blog about Travelodge Oshawa Whitby. I am not overly familliar with the Oshawa area of Ontario, however, I have done numerous website inspections for accommodations in Oshawa, all suggesting that Travelodge Oshawa Whitby is in the top 5.

Travelodge Oshawa Whiby is located at 940 Champlain Avenue, Oshawa Ontario. I thought I would throw the address in here just in case any readers feel compelled to check this place out.

I have decided to "take a shot in the dark"if you will, and judging by how tiny of a list of accommodations I was given, I am willing to guess that Oshawa is a relatively small place, but I must say, having seen pictures of Travelodge Oshawa Whitby, it is a very tasteful-looking building, note that it is certainly no Four Seasons.

Below I have listed many amenities that Travelodge Oshawa Whitby offers.

Amenities include: Business Center, high-speed internet, fitness room/gym, free parking, swimming pool, pet friendly, disabled accessibility, elevator/lift, dry cleaning, air conditioned, non-smoking rooms, golf course, housekeeping, banquet facilities, conference room(s), currency exchange, multilingual staff, safe-deposit box, security guard, refridgerator, cable/satellite TV, in-room movies, bath/hot tub, wake-up service, meeting rooms, kitchenette, coffee/tea maker, microwave oven, hair dryer, complimentary toiletries, modem/data port, TV, laundry service, spa bath/jacuzzi, computer, photocopier, desk, direct-dial phone, facsimile, disabled accessible rooms, wheelchair access, Wi-Fi, private bathroom and bath tub/shower combination.

Travelodge Oshawa Whitby has been rated 7.7 out of a possible 10 by its customers and listed as #2 out of 6 accommodation facilities in Oshawa.

An individual wishing to stay here can expect to be able to rent a traditional room for one night with a queen sized bed for as little as $79 CAD, or a business class room with a king sized bed for as little as $109 CAD/night

I highly recommend that anyone stay here!

Cheers!

The Radisson Hotel & Suites Fallsview is located 450 m from the Fallsview Casino Resort and also features some guestrooms with views of the Horseshoe Falls. A journey behind "The Falls" is 1.7 km (4 minute drive) from the hotel, and the Maid of the Mist Steamboat Tour is 2.3 km (6 minute drive) from the hotel itself. Other local attractions near this hotel include the Niagara Falls IMAX Theater and the Marineland Theme Park.

This hotel consists of 232 guest rooms and boasts several amenities, such as an indoor swimming pool, a personal wellness center, and two on-site restaurants. This property is also completely smoke-free and features a lobby with a television and built-in fireplace. Other hotel services include valet parking, concierge service, business services, laundry services.

Guests who stay at the Radisson Hotel & Suites can take pleasure in an array of in-room amenities, such as blackout drapes, a safe, a clock radio, cable television, a coffee maker, an iron/ironing board and a hair dryer. wake up calls, cribs and turn-down service are available upon request. This hotel also offers free Wi-Fi throughout the entire building.

The Plus: Some rooms feature a direct view of "The Falls", a high number of the guests were very satisfied with the hotel's overall cleanliness, some guests also said that they liked how the hotel is in walking distance of the casino, free wireless internet throughout the entire building, rooms have also been considered to be "comfortable and spacious."

Niagara Lodge & Suites

Hello all,

Throughout all of my blogs, I have been trying to provide you with some of the most affordable accommodations while still maintaining a fairly high quality standard, however, with this being said, this time I would like to present to you a type of accommodation that is relatively close to "The Falls" and is very inexpensive, but it comes equipped with only the bare minimum.

The accommodation that I am blogging about this week is the Niagara Lodge & Suites.

The Niagara Lodge & Suites is located roughly 7.7 km (approximately and 11 minute drive) from Horseshoe Falls, Niagara Lodge & Suites is situated on Lundy's Lane, and is approximately 14 km (17 minutes) from Niagara District Airport (YCM)

The Niagara Lodge & Suites is comprised of 95 rooms. This 3-story hotel offers free Wi-Fi, free long-distance calls, and free parking for all guests, as well as an outdoor pool, heated indoor pool and whirlpool.

The Plus: The Niagara Lodge & Suites includes a free Continental Breakfast, free long-distance calls, free Wi-Fi, free parking, many guest considered the price to be unbeatable and most guests found the location to be very convenient.

The Minus: Guests have had issues with bedbugs, ants and other unknown insects, many guests described their rooms as "dirty" and "in need of repair", while other guests complained about their rooms having bad odor.

Hopefully with this entry, you all will know for sure of one place that you should never stay at when going to "The Falls."

Enjoy!

Courtyard by Marriott Niagara Falls

Hello all,

In this blog, I have decided to cover the Courtyard by Marriott Niagara Falls. The Courtyard by Marriott Niagara Falls is located smack-dab in the center of many Niagara Falls attractions (except the falls which are a twenty-minute walk away.) I have been told that the guest feedback across numerous sources  has been fairly positive. Many of their clients found Marriott's rate to be reasonable, considering the location, and would stay at this same hotel again when visiting "The Falls." Reviewers have rated this hotel 8.5 out of a possible ten.

I have found that the value for the money seemed to be the most common praise for this hotel. In comparison to other local accommodations, Courtyard by Marriott's price that clients paid was considered very reasonable considering the location and of other accommodations nearby.

The Plus: The rooms appear to be quite sizable and comfortable, also, having The Keg restaurant located just inside the lobby would be an additional convenience in itself. This hotel is also located just minutes away from Clifton Hill.

The Minus: While the rooms were clean and large, some reviewers complained that the rooms felt a bit tattered and out of date. Many reviewers have also mentioned that the television in the rooms were old and needed to be replaced. Also, considering that this hotel includes Niagara Falls in its title, it does not offer an actual view of "The Falls" from any of their rooms.

The Price: For an individual wishing/hoping to stay at Courtyard by Marriott Niagara Falls, you can be assured that you will have to pay a minimum of $111 CAD/night for a room, just a heads up!

Thanks for reading!

Sheraton Hamilton Hotel

Hello all,

I have decided to complete a blog on the Sheraton Hamilton Hotel. The Sheraton Hamilton Hotel is conveniently located in the center of Hamilton's business district with direct access to the Hamilton Convention Center and only steps away from the Copps Coliseum.

Sheraton Hamilton's exclusive Club Lounges are located on preferred floors while still allowing for added comfort and convenience for their guests. This space also includes a complimentary breakfast, snacks, beverages and high-speed internet access throughout the day.

The Sheraton Hamilton Hotel is also located in walking distance of the Art Gallery of Hamilton and Hess Village, the Canadian Football Hall of Fame and the Canadian War Plane Heritage Museum.

The Sheraton Hamilton Hotel offers their "Lowest Standard Rate" which is $109 CAD/ night.

I would recommend this hotel for the sheer fact that it is set at a very reasonable rate, it is a professional and well maintained property and it is conveniently located in the heart of Hamilton, which means that everything is in walking distance or just a short commute away.

Bye for now!

Southern Ontario Hotels

This is my first entry in a series of painfully dull blogs. The series of blogs that I am introducing consists of hotels in the southern part of Ontario. Though I have never been to any of the hotels of which I will be blogging about, I will attempt to persuade you into visiting some or maybe even all of them! In my discussions, I will weigh the pros and cons of each, and if you can find similarities when comparing these properties, you may even save yourself some money!
